Why Blood & Ink you ask? Well, like all passions, you are bound to shed blood in the process — as a writer, this can occur either from paper cuts (oh, the numerous paper cuts) or by pulling out one’s hair. While writing can be a painful experience, for many it is life, a passion that needs to be fulfilled. Most writer’s never hit that big payday, but they scribble or bang away because something deep inside their being compels them to.
I’m no different in this aspect. I write because I need to. There are so many stories, so many characters, all just waiting to be put to paper. Like many writers, I hope to one day hit pay-dirt, but that is not my sole reason to write. So far, I have been fortunate to land a job where I write for a living as a frazzled staff writer and editor, conquering deadlines. I have also tried my hand at self-publishing and have kept trying to go the traditional route to minimum success.
This blog will share my experiences while also sharing articles that I hope other writers will find useful. So pull up a seat and your favorite beverage, and enjoy the show!
